Windows 10

Thank you. So after you log in, it just comes back to the login screen again. Is that correct?

Thank you. Please try this first solution below:

  1. Shut down / restart the notebook. And do not log in the notebook for now.
  2. At the password ***** login screen, press and keep holding the Shift key on the keyboard.
  3. Click on the Power icon at the bottom right of the computer's screen, then click on the option Restart while still holding the Shift key.
  4. When a menu appears, then you can release the Shift key.
  5. When prompted, click on the Troubleshoot option.
  6. Then select the option Advanced Options.
  7. Then select the option System Restore, and restore the computer to any date before this issue first occurred, and check.

All up and running thanks - what makes this happen?
So to press shift and powe brings up the reset for future reference? Many thanks

You're welcome. Great. Sometimes, windows can get corrupted, or a new windows update got corrupted; this should rarely happens, but yes, you can use the Shift / Power / Restart method to do the system restore in the future.

If you need anything else, please come back any time. Thank you for your patience.
