I am encountering problems with my broadband. It keeps on

i am encountering problems with my broadband .
It keeps on crashing . Started going slow and then it became worse to the point it clashes every 30-40 minutes .
Today I called up the service provider and they checked the phone lines and thereafter suggested I change the microfilters . (which i did )
The problem was still the same and I called them back and they suggested I change the router. I already had a spare and plugged that in. The problem was still unchanged so I did a check via the computer and it suggested I change the Ethernet cable.. this I also did and I am no better off .
Perhaps someone can assist ,me as my broad band is up and running properly .. I think there is a conflict within the settings ..Rizy

First simplify the network by plugging your computer directly into the modem that provides your Internet access (if you have a router that connects into the modem) and disconnect all other devices from the modem and then reboot the modem and test to see if performance is acceptable with only the computer connected to the modem.

I only have one computer connected to the router .with an Ethernet cable ..
all other devices are via wifi (wireless ie laptop phone )
Will reboot ...

Ok, please let me know the result.

Also, try the test before the wireless devices connect since one of the devices could be impacting performance.

Also, when testing disconnect all phone lines because line noise can also have a substantial negative impact on performance.

unfortunately, by restarting the router the problem still persists.
I have changed my microfilter ,
changed my router
changed the Ethernet cable
and today changed the lead which runs from the microfilter/phone socket to the router
A process of elimination ..

Does the broadband performance issue happen on every device connected to your network or only your computer?

every device.. main computer is connected via a Ethernet cable ..
everything else is wifi .. wireless ..
So when router goes down everything goes down ..

I have also ordered up a new Ethernet high speed cable ..
should arrive tomorrow .
My cable was old and i replaced it with another one which i had.
Nevertheless have ordered a new high speeed cable ..
My phone was also very noisey so I renewed the micro filtered .
This has helped .and i have a much clearer line now .

Old micro filters can create a lot of noise on the phone lines however it has not helped the router performance correct?

Also, login to the router and check the system and firewall log files. Since the router is serving as the modem, router, providing the WiFi network, and firewall services, it is usually best for performance to configure the modem/router in bridge mode, then install a router with WiFi and firewall features and connect the router to the Sky SR102 which decreases the amount of work the SR102 processor has to perform, increasing overall network performance.
