Customer: I have connected to all devices

Customer: The cable carrying sound from the HDMI but I have no HDMI port on my PC I therefore have connected a VGA cable to both devices and it works perfectly on VGA but no sound I have also fitted a UBS Stereo Sound Adapter without success

To answer your question -> See steps below:

The VGA cable does not carry the sound signal. Only the HDMI cable has the sound capability. You need to use there is an audio input jack on the monitor which you can connect with a 3.5mm audio cable from the monitor to the PC headphone jack for the audio to travel.
