That is why I offered the remote.

Just putting the cd in the computer really doesn't do anything.

Yes, those two things are the same.

You can force the install from the CD by following the instructions that I typed out below.

- Put the CD in the computer (the installation CD)
- Click the Start button on your computer
- Click Computer
- Double click the icon on that screen that is for your CD drive.
- Follow the instructions on screen and install it that way.

I find the wireless blue light on the printer is flashing instead of remaining


on so I wonder if the installation has worked. How can I check? Will I do

As you have opted out the other expert, I can try to help you out, but for that, I would like to know, if you have resetted the printer's wireless setup or not, because the printer have saved the settings for the old router and you are now using a new router.

How do I reset the printer's wireless set up
Follow the steps below and reply me back, do not try to reinstall the printer.

Reset the network setting on the unit by doing this:

Press and hold the cancel button and then press the wireless button. Let both buttons go and the unit should reset to network defaults.

Pressing the buttons for few seconds should be enough, and first press the cancel button, then press the wireless button, just make sure you release them at the same time.

No, that will not work, you have to reconnect the printer with the new router now. Please let me know, which version of windows, do you use, like XP, VIsta or 7 ?
