Cintinually rejectin my passsword entry

Hello Henry! Thank you for your question. I will be assisting you today.

I'm sorry about the issue. What's the model of your device?

Was it working previously? Or is this a new device?

What is the model of your Internet/wireless modem/router device?

Do you have a laptop/wireless computer that is currently able to connected via wireless? If so, does it have Windows xp, vista, or 7, 8, or Mac?

Do you know your exact wireless/wi-fi password XXXXX Amazon account password?

Turn off the device, then turn it back on, then let me know exactly what kind of password XXXXX is asking for, such as Wi-Fi password, Amazon account password, etc, i.e., is it asking you to select a wireless/wi-fi network name? Or is it asking you to register with your Amazon account / email address?

Please reply at the box below. Thank you,

Kindle Has been working OK
Router bt homehub2-ss2t

windows XP

Wireless password XXXXX

amazon password i thought was cmhw but that is relected

Kindle just comes up with screen asking me to enter password

Is the wireless password XXXXX lowercase or uppercase as shown at the back/bottom of the router bt homehub device?

Are you able to sign in your amazon account with your Amazon password XXXXX the website

Press & hold the power on/off button on the kindle for about 30 seconds, then turn it back on
, then does it ask for the password XXXXX away?
, since it does not let you in with any password, does it let you do anything else, such as go to menu/setting, or open/read an old book, etc.?

Thank you

Wireless password XXXXX XXXXX Lower Case

asks for password XXXXX

Locked on thatscreen

That means it's the kindle device passcode, login password, not wireless/wifi nor amazon account password. It does not let you go to settings/menu right?

Have you tried to enter the (wrong) password XXXXX about 5 times, and see if it lets you reset the kindle?

If that does not work, can you try each of these passwords, and see if it lets you reset the kindle:

Please click on the Reply to Expert tab below, and reply back to me, so I can help further if there is still any issue. Thank you

Sorry but it rejects all 3 suggested passwords

Sorry, did you enter the (wrong) password XXXXX about 4 or 5 times? Did it show any reset option?

To confirm, it does not let you do anything on the kindle, except entering passwords right?

Sorry i lost the page suggest Kindle is not retrievable

Not possible to see back of kindle it is secured in leather case

Can you remove the leather case/cover from the kindle temporarily?

Thank you
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

sorry but just not able to remove cover

suggest the kindle is on its way to the rubbish bin

I'm sorry, for some really older models, the end-users cannot reset the password XXXXX:

But can you click on the website below:

, and sign in your Amazon account if prompted
, then follow the steps there to select your issue
, then an Amazon representative may be able to reset the device password XXXXX you
