This answer was rated:

I have two telephone lines coming into my home. The first I use for my landline telephone in the living room. The second is in another room and I connect my PC to the net using this one. Each line has a TalkTalk modem. To save money paying a monthly line rental for the line connecting to my PC I wish to close it down.
How do I set a wifi connection to connect my PC to the first line?

The modem is up and running and 2 IPads are connected to the internet using it. My problem is to get my Dell to connect to it also

My PC has Windoes XP

Does the Windows XP computer have a built-in wireless card?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
No wireless card! And unlike my laptop no little slider to switch to wifi

If the computer does not have a wireless card then you will need to purchase one a (USB) to enabled wireless on the desktop computer.
