I am unable to take even the first step to connecting my new kindle . It rejects my current Wi-fi password, and every password ***** have ever used. It also rejects the password ***** on the back of my router.
What can I do to activate my kindle?

My modem is a Bt Broadband DSL model

My desktop Computer is iMac OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.3

Is your desktop computer connected to the BT modem with a cable? Or is it wireless?

At the back of the modem, do you see password/key/WPA/WEP, etc.?
