I previously connected my sky+he box by Ethernet cable but due to changes in the house I can no longer connect this way. I have tried to connect wirelessly using the eps buttons on sky box and sky router but I get a message on the screen which says I cannot connect wirelessly because the two components were connected by Ethernet cable. Can you please help me to connect them wirelessly
JA: Are you able to connect using an ethernet cable?
Customer: No as the Ethernet cable has been disconnected
JA: Which lights are colored and/or blinking on your router?
Customer: The orange was light flashes and there are 3 green

On the settings screen it is saying that connection to broadband router is a fail as is connection to on demand

What other options do you get under settings?

I am on the network screen and the other 2 headings are IP address of this sky box 0.0.0.0.
The last heading is DHCP and that is indicating ON.

Can you make sure if the box has the wireless capability or not from Sky?

it must have wireless capability as it has a WPS button and wireless coonction is mentioned in the sky+hd brochure.

OK then, you can reset the box and then, try to connect again.

  1. Press Services on your Sky remote
  2. Select the Settings tile
  3. Scroll across to the Network tab
  4. Press Select
  5. Press Red to reset your network connections

Reconnect to the wireless network

  1. Go back to the network tab using instructions above
  2. Select ‘Connect with Password’
  3. Highlight and select your wireless network.
  4. Enter your wireless password (this is case sensitive)

  1. Press Services on your Sky remote
  2. Select the Settings tile
  3. Scroll across to the Network tab
  4. Press Select
  5. Press Red to reset your network connections

I have pressed the red button to reset but it hasn't reset and I am getting very stressed this is going on far too long. Do you work for sky I am not impressed, I have already paid £5.00 and nothing has changed. Just tell me what to do. Nothing has worked at all so far.

You can buy a longer network cable, wireless for video stuff is no reliable.
