I can't connect my SumUp Solo card reader to a venue's

I can't connect my SumUp Solo card reader to a venue's secure wifi network because it requires a user ID and a password ***** Solo only allows entry of a password
JA: Are you able to connect using an ethernet cable?
Customer: No
JA: Which lights are colored and/or blinking on your router?
Customer: A router is not in use
JA: Anything else you want the Network Expert to know before I connect you?

None - I'm a guest

The security protocol may not allow you to setup these devices.  Ask the owner for the WPA key so you can connect it that way.

I also have a SumUp Air reader for use with a mobile phone, The mobile phone signal at the venue isn't strong enough to connect my mobile with the reader - that's why I tried the Solo. My ISP is O2

Not the Air. The Solo has its own SIM card which finds the venue's wifi network but won't allow use of an unsecured network. Hence my initial question

The SIM wouldn't connect to WIFI but to a cellular network.

Solo can connect to a wifi network or to a cellular network whichever is available and with a strong enough signal.. It's the SumUp 'rule' that I have to connect to a secure network that's the problem

Yes and the guest network isn't one.
