My IBM ThinkPad T43p on start has a blue screen which reads stop :c0000135 ( unable to locate component) this application has failed to start because GDI32.d11 was not found.re installing the application may fix this problem

Have you tried booting up in SAFE MODE as well? Also, do you have a Windows XP installation disk with you, by any chance?
