I cannot receive emails a message keeps coming up Cannot connect

I cannot receive emails a message keeps coming up 'Cannot connect to server'. My email address [email protected] the last update appears to be 29 January
This morning I requested an email from Discover BT Broadband,nothing has been received.

Your help would be appreciated.

The issue is on your iPad connecting to your BT email account correct Alan?

Yes the issue is the connnection to my email address no emails received
recently,I know that some have been sent to me

On the iPad go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings.

Press this and when it has completed you may need to connect to your wireless network again.

Then tell me please if it can retrieve the emails.

Thank you Richard for your suggestion,I have tried resetting as you suggested. but,I still cannot receive emails,I was looking at the wrong page
for ypur reply,sorry about delay.

I mentioned in my previous reply that my daughter received. an email
from my email address with a link which she died not open,could there be
a bug in the system?

Go to Settings, Mail and press on your account Alan, then at the bottom select Delete account.

Once done, add the email account back to the iPad and tell me if you now receive emails on it please.

Thank yo Richard,I cancelled the account and entered it again.It now
says 'This account may not be able to receive or send emails'

I tried to send email to my Daughter,but it was not sent and put into my
Outbox by Yahoo

Thank you Richard I did log in but Yahoo have said that there has
been unusual activity on the site it may have been compromised
they have advised me to upgrade my BT NetProtect Plus and ppssibly
change my password.

iI will advise you of the results later,have to charge my iPad
