My kindle, despite being connected to wifi, will not let me in to Kindles store. What do I do next?

Sometimes your Kindle can be unresponsive and keep you from using the device properly (the most important reason for this issue can be glitch in the software). If there is no hardware issue on the device, some of the solutions below should resolve this issue.
Please follow the steps below to reset your device:
1. Press and hold (or slide and hold) the power button for exactly 35 seconds.
2. After 35 seconds, release the power button.
3. Wait 2 minute, then turn on your Kindle.
4. Test your Kindle.
Please try this procedure at least 3 times.
If the previous procedure doesn't work, perform the procedure below:
1. Disconnect the power cable from the wireless router (turn the router off)
2. On your Kindle - Press and hold (or slide and hold) the power button for exactly 35 seconds.
3. Allow up to 3 minutes for the Kindle to reboot.
4. When Kindle reboot, turn on your router and wait 2 minutes.
5. After 2 minutes, try to connect your Kindle to wifi.
6. Test your Kindle.

Hi Todd,
I have tried the first idea 3 times without success. I am staying in a private house in Italy which has good wifi but has lots of notices saying please do not disconnect the router so I will not undertake your second suggestion. It is all a bit odd because I cannot purchase kindle books from the Amazon store on my IPad either nor send photos by text.

Thank you for your reply.
This issue can be caused by account created in another country, not just wifi connection problem. Just be sure, that if your account is created in another country (USA, Canada, UK etc.) you will not be able to access Kindle store. Your account information should be changed - your address and country should be changed.
To change address and country use procedure below:
1. Go to webpage below - click here
2. Log in using your Amazon account
3. Under "Settings" section, select "Country settings"
4. Click on "Change" and change your country (or address if needed).
5. When done click "Update"
Also, your will be able to access only Italian Kindle store, not your country located store. For example: is Amazon official website in Italy (note that many books are on Italian language).
