sorry about the first reply, that is for a forgotten wifi password ***** your kindle, Please try this on your Kindle>press and hold the power button for 20 seconds and then release. After the device has completely turned off, press the power button to restart your Kindle> then try and open it again.
If that does not work try this next>
  1. Type resetmykindle into the passcode field.
  2. Press the Enter key (below the Del key).
