I have Windows 8.1 on my HP laptop.

I have Windows 8.1 on my HP laptop.
I tried to open Microsoft Solitaire , Collection and Card Games from the apps list and all 3 apps just flash on, then fade immediately. What is wrong with windows. Can it be put right?

Hi James,

Windows 8 and 8.1 versions have both worked O.K. from when I purchased the laptop new. All the other Apps on laptop I use frequenntly are O.K. The ones I mentioned that do not open are all Microsoft games.Previously they all opened O.K. and stored game results. Now they just do not open. I have performed a disc clean up per Microsoft instruction and still no app will open. Help please.

I have solved my own problem with Windows 8.1 by running HP Recovery Manager.and can now access the Microsoft games apps O.K.
