Yes, this was done when I bought the printer. It was working fine
Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907Restart your Mac.
Reset the printing system:- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and then next to the "Use" pulldown, select the printer model (not AirPrint). Wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.
Sorry to be stupid. When I click on the link do I then click on download
I now have no printer listed at all but a box entitled Add. Name and Kind. And below that a line saying Name, below that Location and below that Use. What do I insert

I am still having trouble as I keep getting a message saying that the installer has not been completed and they are sending a message to Apple
Go to the stored software in the Applications folder on your hard drive.
Drag the HP program’s icon or folder to the Trash to begin the uninstall process.
Then >CLICK HERE< to download the software from HP.
I have now got my printer installed and working but I had to get
a friend in to assist as there appeared to be some complication.
