I have forgotten the password ***** created new Toshiba

This answer was rated:

I have forgotten the password ***** created new Toshiba laptop and I haven't got a reset disk
. I look forward to helping you today.
Which version of Windows is running on that computer?
Do you have any other accounts on the computer that you can log into?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Windows 8, now I can't log on as it's the one that I need to open the computer. I am using my desktop at present but as it is an iMac I bought the laptop so I had windows as well. I set it all up and then was away so didn't use it, put in the password ***** thought I'd used and obviously it wasn't and have been going through all versions I could have used past 2 days but none work. It's asking reset disk in order to reset password ***** I certainly didn't get with it so now at a loss of what to do next.

Thank you update. I have one more question since you are using Windows 8.
Is the login username an email address or not?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It is the password ***** actually lets you start to use the laptop, I haven't got that far as setting up email log ins on it I can't actually get that far!

Oh, I am a bit confused.
Are you at the Windows login screen or at the screen where there is just text on the screen?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

after you actually turn the laptop on, there is a password ***** must enter before it opens and you can actually begin to use it

Thank you update.
So, you created a bios password? Windows doesn't even start to load before you see the password *****?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

That is correct

Depending on the model, there may be no 'easy' way to fix that.
What is the full model name of your Toshiba computer?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

L50-B laptop

There are no master passwords model. This means that there is no way to unlock the laptop unless you take it apart, do a lot of disassembly, and short a couple jumpers on the mainboard.
If you do attempt to reset the password ***** taking it apart, you will totally void the warranty and there is a chance that you would damage the laptop.
The only way to get this reset is to bring it into a Toshbia licensed repair shop and have them reset it after you verify that you purchased the laptop. This is a security feature that they have in place.
If you need help locating a nearby Toshiba Licensed Shop, you can do so here:

Can you tell me why I have been charged £35 when original quote was for £28?

I have no idea. I am not part of billing.
The cost of the question is displayed in the beginning.
Do you wish to send this up to the billing department and change that cost ?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

OK, thanks , I am going to have to try and remember the password ***** I can't afford anything else!

I'm stopping the conversation now.

Thank you.
