I am trying to create an invoicing system in excel. I have a spread sheet with a list off inventory in one column and the selling price in a column next to it. I want to create a dropdown box on my invoice to be able to pick the relevant product and also the price in the cell next to it. I can create a drop down box for the product list - no problem - but I cannot find a way of also bring in the selling price.

But, before we start, do you have Microsoft Access there Graham?
As a invoicing system belongs better in this, as Excel can do it but is not made for it whereabouts Access is.
It comes with Office professional, let me know.

ok, I can make you this in Access which is in the long term better for reports, expansion ect.

You will see page one you add the product and price and on the next sheet you can select it and it will link the price.

How does it not work for you?
I can see you are a first time user to the site. What we do here is either a question and answer type of conversation or remote support where I would actually connect to the computer and have a look and fix the issue if possible.
Remote support can save a lot of time if you are not comfortable performing repairs yourself.
I will send an offer through for remote support and should you accept I will connect and see what is going on and fix the issue. Otherwise we can continue to talk like this but I will need to ask a number of other questions and try and walk you through some steps for repair.
Both options are 100% guaranteed by the way. Remote is just quicker and avoids the risk of you making a mistake and doing something wrong.

Hi. No. There is the word apple in the dropdown box but it can't be changed to any of the other items in the inventory. Also I need to have multiple product on the invoice. I think I can manage that but the first issue is still not resolved. Your help is appreciated.

ok, it is working perfectly for me so I am really confuse why you have the problem.
Can I log on and look please on the connected computer?
It is easier to work with you on this. You can see and control everything I do
Can you please go to
Click on Download in the top right.
Go down to "TeamViewer Quicksupport"
Click on Download and download and run the program.
It will give you an ID and a Password.
Please give me the ID (leave a space between each character eg: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9) and the password ***** your next message to me here.
Do not close the program, but leave it open.
I can then connect to your computer.

That seems to be Ok now. Only thing I need now is how do I increase the nuber of lines for the invoice. Thanks so much for your help
