I am probably after something really simple but just cant work it out.
What I am after is to subtract a number from a number in a cell for example below:
However when there is nothing in cell 'D3' I would like the cell containing the above formula to be blank
Is this possible?

But you cannot remove the formula itself, as a formula cant remove itself because it needs to be there to do the actual formula.

Thanks for the fast response but when I enter this it just copies whats in cell D3.

If I type in:


I can still see it saying -300 when the cell is blank?

I don't want to see -300 when D3 is blank
