I have a DMR-BW Disk recorder it has work well for around twelve months until yesterday,
I think we may have had a power cut as my computer had restarted after a unexpected shut down, the disk recorder will switch on but will not play disks or show TV programs.

This can be the firmware so I want to rule this out first please.
On the player itself, push both the Channel up and Channel Down buttons for 6 seconds then release.
This reloads the firmware and corrects any corruption issues it may have.
After doing this, tell em if it now functions correctly please.

Thanks all looks to be OK now and plays disks.

your most welcome!
It was the firmware that had an issue, and needed a hard restart. We did this just then. It will now be ok.
