please let me know that all the books on the existing kindle were purchased books from your kindle account or you had downloaded ones as well

Hello Michelle,

Yes all books perchased through Amazon account I do have some technical downloads of technical stuff for work(six items)

you need to first of all deregister the existing kindle
to do so, From the Amazon website, go to Your Apps and Devices.
Click Your devices.
Click the Actions button, and then click Deregister device.
once done, you can register the new kindle by going to Home screen, press the Menu button, and then select Settings. Select Registration.
also if possible download the books you have purchased on your amazon account to your computer as well as a backup copy
