Dear Avast I have received a pop-up saying there is a serious

Dear Avast
I have received a pop-up saying there is a serious threat to my computer;
but I am not sure whether this particular one is dealt with already by my Avast anti-virus.
(there was a request to place something somewhere but I lost the pop-up)
I would appreciate your advice.

The pop-up threat came straight away when I turned on computer.

Also, when I tried to start computer it wouldn't go to opening screen: I pressed f12 and it then went to it ok.

I did something after reading pop-up and pop-up disappeared. But I am concerned.
