Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. I will need to ask, whether you have any sound being produced on your Mac Classic at all. Check whether the speakers are plugged in to the computer, and turned On. Check the Volume control (both the physical dial on the speakers, and the Volume control on the computer's screen. I understand that you are getting both no sound from audio cassettes, and no sound from DVD movies. Check also for anything like a MUTE or MUTED indication anywhere on your computer, and also check for anything that looks like a speaker icon with a / (slash) across it - if you see such an icon, click once on it, to un-Mute the sound.
