Against my wishes my windows 8 has been automatically upgraded to windows 10 and now I cannot get in my computer. It asks for a password ***** an account. But I have never had a password ***** that account as far as I know. Using the Microsoft website I have changed the password ***** my Microsoft account but inserting that where the password ***** ***** for this account does not get me anywhere. I have been round and round on the Microsoft website but cannot find anyone to speak to. All I want to do is get in to the documents on my computer! Can you help please

As said I have reset my password ***** that website but the new password ***** ***** being accepted. What exactly is an account? Is that my Microsoft account
The account that is listed on the computer login window is the account to which you need to log into. Can you log into that same account at the following page?

Unfortunately, your responses did not really advance things beyond where I was already. With help from someone else I did in the end find out that I can get into the Desktop by restarting the computer, which has allowed me to use my email etc and get the details needed to complete the Microsoft form to "recover" my account - but yesterday they rejected my completed form on the basis that they had already had too many that day!
