My Acer laptop switched off due to lack of power. resumed power

Customer Question

My Acer laptop switched off due to lack of power. resumed power switched back on and it resumed as if new. e-mails and all files had gone except for I-tunes, Adobe reader and Canon MX535 software. Did system restore to day before - nothing. Via windows C / old /users found docs. pictures etc. and pasted them back into files. Freshly installed Outlook express. Next morning (to-day) switched on and all had gone again. Told to try again later but that's not working. Visited Event viewer and it showed Kernel power event 41 which presumably was the main switch off. Literally thousands of other errors over a period. How do I return the computer to its state just before please.

Hi, The Kernel power event 41 means the computer power off unexpectedly and doesn't really provide any extra information to what we already know. Do you have Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, or 10?
