I have been asked by BT to take my computer back to factory conditions without losing my personal files so that I can then try to reload my Network Protect. i would appreciate someone talking me through the process. My landline number is *****

Hi Julia,

Can you explain the issue in detail before we do a factory reset?

I was told by BT to uninstall my Net Protect on my computer as I was having difficulty riding my computer of the warning that my subscription had expired. My new subscription had in fact just been renewed and it was fine so all I needed to do was to uninstall the programme. I was then not able to install the new programme and following many calls to BT was told that there was nothing else that I could do until my computer was reset to factory conditions.
