Is there a simple way of turning off the option for WiFi on

This answer was rated:

Is there a simple way of turning off the option for WiFi on a Win7 Pro laptop which is hard-wire connected to an ethernet network?
Switching the WiFi off at the router isn't an option as other devices are accessing the WiFi.
The ethernet network connection is faster, but the laptop automatically connects to the WiFi, and there could be a 'clash'.
Thank you.

Welcome, I am Cory. Thank you for asking your question today.

You do not want to use the WiFi at all?

There's an error in using Just Answer.

I've replied 3 times and the answers disappear.

To answer your question, I need to use WiFi in another part of the property where it's based, where there isn't an ethernet connection.

Would you like me to connect remotely and show you how to do this?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

No, thanks.

Right click on the 5 bars in the bottom right corner (looks like cellphone signal bars.)

Click Open Network and Sharing Center

Click on Adapter Settings on the left

Right click WiFi and choose Disable.

Do the same to turn it back on, only click Enable.
