My Samsung Galaxy J1 tells me it has been infected with a virus and gives me instructions to click on a button to remove it. It gives me 4 minutes. I have closed it down. Is this a scam or should I do as instructed?

Hi there and welcome

It is a scam and likely the page is there when you start up the phone.

To remove it, start the phone and go to Settings,, Applications Manager.

Then go to the list All for all System Apps.

Locate internet, press it and press Clear Data

Then try to open internet and it should then work.

Let me know please how you go

Thank you
