I am trying to set up a new PC that I have just purchased. I have to enter my Microsoft account info but I forgot my password. I requested a code (6701155) but the PC didn't accept it so I am still trying to verify my identity on the new PC. Please can you help.

Customer: I haven't done anything yet as I can't use the PC until I complete the set up with my Microsoft account.

Your only remaining method is to fill out a form and submit it but it could take 48 to 72 hours for you to get the reset email IF they send it at all.

Yes absolutely you can start a new one and be sure to put your new cell phone on there so you can always get access to the account....
