Why is it that when I Skype my son in Australia, it keeps cutting out every 2 or 3 minutes. Very frustrating
JA: What's the brand and model of your computer? And the Operating System (OS)?
Customer: ?OC and Windows 7
JA: How long has this been going on with your computer? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Been happening for about 4 months. Haven' tried anything as I don't know how. (I'm a pensioner with limited knowledge)

While i wait for a reply i would like to mention the most common reason for cut outs - INTERNET CONNECTION!

If your Internet connection isn't sufficient, you may experience interruptions while using Skype. Skype support recommends shutting down downloads and other bandwidth-heavy programs to optimize your connection. If your webcam and microphone are connected to your computer via USB, the connections might be loose or absent. Check them before we look at making any configuration changes.
