JA: What device or product does this involve?
Customer: Toshiba satillite
JA: What's the brand and model of your computer? And the Operating System (OS)?
Customer: Toshiba satillile on widows 7 and trying to upgrade to windows 10
JA: How long has this been going on with your computer? What have you tried so far?
Customer: 1 week, load windows 10 from usb boot, had recovery and whe I was able to get onto window 7 to manually install windows 10 it failed at the last minute
JA: Anything else you want the Computer Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not sure what else just need to be able to get passes error message first I guess

No I mean on the computer, when does it show up?

When you turn on to start computer

Power off the computer

Then hold 0 (zero) and with it held, power it on and keep it held till you are at the recovery window

Can you get to this?

Connect the disk, start the computer and press the key it indicates to enter setup

Go to Boot Order and set the USB as first in the list

Then save and exit and keep pressing any key until it loads from the USB stick in order to install windows

I’ve done this twice already and it loaded windows and verified enough space then when to install go to 100% then said failed to install but I’ll try it again

It is the internal hard drive that has faulted, it is getting to a bad sector and erroring out
