Our Sony Bravia TV is turning itself on and off

Customer Question

Hi. Our Sony Bravia TV is turning itself on and off automatically. It turns off as soon as the screen says ANDROID so we do not have sufficient time to undertake a factory reset
JA: How old is your Bravia?
Customer: Less than 3 years old
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: I cannot get to the TV menu as the tv turns off the moment ANDROID appears on the screen. All other inputs removed and batteries removed from the remotes
JA: How long has this been an issue with your Bravia? What happened right before this?
Customer: Since last night
JA: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No thanks

Hi! My name is Ameen and I'll be assisting you. Secure Remote Assistance is NOT REQUIRED (But Helpful)

I am sorry you are having this concern, I will do my best to help you today.

To answer your question -> See steps below:

A couple of things you can try

1 - Unplug TV power cord from the wall, and disconnect all other devices connected to your TV except aerial cable, and turn TV on again.

2 - If step 1 fails, ensure you are using the latest firmware.

3 - If step 2 fails, perform a factory reset.

4 - If step 3 fails, it probably indicates a hardware failure on the TV, go through Sony Support to get your TV repaired.
