My name is***** for the trouble.
Just to clarify, is the issue that the hacker is causing your Internet connection to disconnect?
Ok so this issue can also occur if there are any power anomalies such as low line levels or power spikes that reach the modem/router that provides your Internet access. The modem/router is a sensitive device that is not designed to handle power fluctuations gracefully. Installing a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) or power line conditioner would eliminate that as a possible cause.
Ok, I will check that IP now
That IP address is not active right now
Which devices on your network have been compromised?
Ok so is your main IP assigned to a server that hosts your radio station or assigned to the modem/router that provides your Internet access?
Yes however you can host the radio station from a server at a location and IP other than your main sub IP, which is why I was asking.
I recommend that you invest in a modem/router that is more robust and secure than the one supplied by your service provider which must have vulnerabilities that are trivial to exploit if the hacker is able to easily get in.
So the service provider does not believe that their modem has been hacked?
No system is completely immune from being hacked. Have they checked their systems and your modem to verify?
If you moved your radio station to a server in the cloud, it would be less likely that the hacker could disrupt your radio station.
Ok so if you move your radio station to a server in the cloud the benefits would be that the radio station would connect to the Internet through a different service provider, there would be more robust security systems in place including IDS as well as firewalls, the server instance would be professionally configured on the platform level, and the hosting company would provide the additional security they need because it is in their best interest to ensure that systems within their data center do not get hacked.
You would have to move your station operations to a server on the cloud. Moving the image of the server you use to a hosting provider would do it.
