I cannot get FaceTime on my I pad in entering my Apple ID

I cannot get FaceTime on my I pad in spit entering my Apple ID and password. The message says an error has occurred ! My ID and password ***** correct
JA: When did you last change your password ***** Apple ID?
Customer: Some time ago. When I tried just now to change both message said this has been done too many times on this I pad contact Apple help!
JA: Did you try resetting through Apple's online account reset tool?
Customer: No I don't know how to do this. I can successfully use FaceTime on my phone
JA: Anything else you want the Mac Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No
