I deleted a list of files from the library as listed on a help guide and restarted the computer to recreate these files

I'm going to send you a link to download Teamviewer Quick support. Please run it and then send me back the ID and password.

I am now using an iPad. Do I need to run this link on the MacBook ?

Yes, Macbook please.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
How do I get it there with no internet ?

It's my understanding that your MacBook Pro won't connect to Wi-Fi. You've come to the right place! I'm happy to help.

If you haven't already, I recommend trying to connect with a different Wi-Fi network. If the issue persists, use Wireless Diagnostics on your Mac to analyze your Wi-Fi connection, detect issues, and find solutions.

Check for Wi-Fi issues using your Mac

Let us know the results. Please include specific error messages and any other troubleshooting steps you may have tried.

The WiFi will not display the other networks. I tried adding one manually but WiFi will still not switch on. I have run diagnostics which created a mass of files - none of which mean anything to me.

I also went into diagnostics and that showed no errors

Could be the wifi antenna in the macbook has come loose. Do you want a guide to access it?

Now look for Network and WiFi

There you will see the information about your WiFi card and the status of the connections.

It looks like this:

As next step I suggest to do some Diagnostics.

Than open the Network Diagnostics to test your WiFi connection.

Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Network.

Click “Assist me,” click Diagnostics, and then follow the onscreen instructions.

There is no “assist me” option. I have run diagnostics using the function key and clicking on the wireless icon. As I say, this produced a mass of files in / var/temp

Try reinstalling the OS with recovery. Sometimes that fixes this issue.

I tried that but reinstall won’t work without wifi

Do you have a network cable?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I do. That was going to be my next attempt. I’ll go and find it.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
No good. The MacBook doesn’t have a socket

You would need a usb to network adapter.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I’ll need to order one.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Can this call continue once I get one ?

Sure. Just send another message.
