Hi. I changed the password ***** my iMac recently and can’t remember the new one so I’m locked out. Can you help please?

Customer: A long time but I had it upgraded this year and it’s running OS Catalina.

Hi. I already tried resetting my Apple ID passcode . It works for my iPad and iPhone. The problem is with the iMac password ***** on startup. I thought they were the same thing but it seems not. J
