I use a 2TB HUMAX box to watch all freeSat chanels.
JA: What's the brand and model of your computer? And the Operating System (OS)?
Customer: Its not a computer it's a 2Tb Humax box with an LG smart TV on which I watch all Free-Sat channels, some of which have lost sound and I don't know how to retrieve the lost sounds
JA: What LG model do you have? How old is it?
Customer: Sorry I will have to go and find the paperwork,so I will get back to you later, if that's OK!
JA: Does the TV menu work? Do you have the same problem on all sources/inputs?
Customer: I use the Humax menu's only on FREESAT
JA: How long has this been an issue with your LG? What happened right before this?
Customer: It happened over the weekend. it was fine before then!
JA: Anything else you want the TV Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No! I just need to know how ti retrieve the sound, If I change over to the TV using a common aerial all channels are working fine!

Can you please remove the power to the box (so unplug it from the power socket)

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the box and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

I have done as you asked, but still the same. For instance I can get BBC1 in HD ( with sound ) but no sound on SD. everthing seems the same. I did try re-tuning previously but that didn't help.

Hi! Richard, Done that & all's OK! I have actually done all the instructions from Youtube but stopped short when prompted to factory reset as I thought I would lose all my recordings, so it's cost me £22 to actually do the last step!!! should have had more bottle and hit reset!
