I have created a second Facebook account using the same

This answer was rated:

I have created a second Facebook account using the same email and username - please don't ask why! I want to delete the newly created one and use the old one. However I can't access the older one, in fact it doesn't even show up, just the new one. This all stemmed from forgetting the initial password. Any help would be appreciated.
JA: Are you logged into your email account on any other devices?
Customer: Yes at work. But I can access it as when I attempted to arrange a password ***** the code was sent to a Gmail account I've not used in years and don't even know the full name of, let alone the password. Would just deleting the new account allow me to at least see the old one?
JA: Do you have security questions or a phone number on file to help reset your password?
Customer: The phone number is ***** registered with the new one and goes straight to that.
JA: Is there anything else the Email Expert should know before I connect you? Rest assured that they'll be able to help you.
Customer: Just that I've asked my wife to look up my old profile and doesn't have my picture, indicating that the old account is either deleted or suspended I would think.

Hi Tech, I've tried the first and second - awaiting a reply on the second. However, it seems that I can send emails from my hotmail account, but don't seem to be getting replies. I did a test and sent a message from my hotmail account to a work account and then back. It's not been received into my hotmail messages. Any idea what th issue might be?

Hi Tech, I've managed to sort the email issue, I just had to fiddle about with the settings. If possible, I would still appreciate help with my Facebook issues. As mentioned previously, I have two Facebook accounts using the same username and email address. I would like to delete the new one without deleting the old one. Problem is I don't have the password ***** the old one and can't even bring it up on a search, it just comes up with the new one. I think that I stupidly opted for Google instead of mobile for notifications and that's why it was sending confirmation codes to a long since forgotten gmail account. If there was a way to bring up the old Facebook account and change the option for it to send a code to my mobile or my hotmail email address then I think it'd be okay.

I am sorry for what you are facing. As there are no recovery options on file to recover the account, I suggest you to submit the form using the below link to recover the Facebook account. Facebook team will get back to you regarding the account recovery.

Is it possible to do it on my mobile? Otherwise it'll have to wait until 1700 when I get home so I can log onto the pc at home.

Hi Tech is the issue you're having a look at the Facebook one or the hotmail? As I've said, I've already sorted the hotmail issue. RE the form to Facebook, I've already filled that in and submitted it. It does state that they don't reply to all requests but I'm still wondering if deleting the new account, which I can access, is worth doing as I simply don't want it but am wary it might delete the obligingly. I'm still happy to go down the remote route if you think it'll help in any way.

I am sorry, I wont be able to access phone. However, let me help you to fix the issue through this chat window.

Are you sure this won't delete the original account?

Please enter the right email address associated with Facebook account which you want to delete.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
They both have the same email address but I can access the one I want to delete.

Please login to that account and do follow the above instructions to delete the account.

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
Done. However, as this provides a grace period of 30 days, what should my next move be regarding the original account. I'm assuming that the original has been suspended. So should I be appealing to Facebook. Kind regards
