I purchased a Asus Chromebook for my grandson as a christmas present (2020) it now will not charge.
JA: What computer or device isn't charging?
Customer: The Asus Chrome booke C523
JA: What Asus model do you have? And the Operating System (OS)?
Customer: C523na - BROO 67 15.6 inch
JA: How long has this been going on with your computer? What have you tried so far?
Customer: My grandson was using just over a week ago for an online lesson and it decided to go down and it will not now charge. I have tried to hold the on/key for 1 minute and then plug in the charger but to no avail it is completely dead

Please disconnect the power cable to the computer then hold the power button in for 60 seconds then release.
Then connect the power cable, power it on and tell me how it now functions.
