My iPhone no longer sounds alerts for calls, texts etc
JA: What kind of Apple device do you have? What Operating System (OS) are you running?
Customer: it is an iphone
JA: How long has this been going on with your Apple device? What have you tried so far?
Customer: everything I can think of. Just since yesterday.
JA: Anything else you want the Mac Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: not yet a year old, bought 29.12.2020

Please try These Steps to Fix Missing Text Message Notifications or Sounds:-


  • Check if you enabled Do Not Disturb. Make sure Do Not Disturb is off

  • See if the Message thread has Hide Alerts enabled

  • Change Notification Banners to Persistent

  • Take a look if you are filtering unknown senders

  • Check if your notifications are stacked together

  • Make sure Deliver Quietly is not turned on for the app

  • Select a Text Tone or Change your selected text tone

  • Look through your contacts and ensure that you have not set their text or ringtone to None–if so, update it to a sound you like

  • Check that your mute switch isn’t on.
