Hi,
I'm sorry about your motherboard issue. I'm glad to assist you today. What's the make / model of your motherboard? Did it have wireless / Wi-Fi wireless previously? Do you also have a USB Wi-Fi / wireless adapter?
Please reply at the box below. Thank you.

My motherboard is a tomahawk b450 max 2 / I think I remember it having wireless WiFi

Thank you for waiting as I was researching on the issue. I've checked the specifications for your MSI TOMAHAWK B450 MAX II at the MSI website below, and it does not have WiFi wireless feature. It only has wired (LAN) feature. This is normal as desktop motherboards usually do not have Wi-Fi wireless feature. However, it's easy to get wireless on your motherboard. You can get / connect a USB Wi-Fi / Wireless adapter to your motherboard, and then it will have wireless.

Also, you can see the full specifications for your motherboard at the website below:

Yes, that's correct. Some good Wi-Fi usb adapter brands are TP-Link and Netgear. Here is one TP-LInk WiFi adapter at the website below:
