My kindle which I have only had for about 4 months will not swipe to open so cannot use it.
JA: What are you having trouble accessing or opening?
Customer: it won't open
JA: How long have you had your Kindle?
Customer: since November 2019
JA: What have you tried so far with your Amazon product?
Customer: I wasn't sure if the battery had gone flat so had it on charge for some time and the green light came on.
JA: Anything else you want the Electronics Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No as I simply can't use it

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your reader. I know that can be frustrating. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.

Remove the charger from the Reader and hold the power button to off for 60 seconds.

Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Reader.
