JA: What are you having trouble accessing or opening?
Customer: Opening
JA: How long have you had your Kindle?
Customer: Can't remember, 6 years, guessing.
JA: What have you tried so far with your Amazon product?
Customer: Tried to open normally. Tried leaving plugged in and then tried opening, seriously stumped. I do like to read a lot.

I’m sorry to hear you're having trouble with your reader. I know that can be frustrating. Hopefully, we can get this resolved quickly.

This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.

Remove the charger from the Reader and hold the power button to off for 60 seconds.

Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Reader.

Super super. It's started again. Thanks very much. Is this likely to happen again. Is this the beginning of the end of my kindle.

No it is not a common occurrence but can happen, if it does again please repeat these instructions.
