My fire stick is not connecting to my WiFi. Have unplugged

Customer Question

Hi, my fire stick is not connecting to my WiFi. Have unplugged it, restarted the fire stick and restarted my home hub but that hasn’t worked. Another fire stick in another room is working fine, as is my mobile on WiFi.
JA: Are you able to connect using an ethernet cable?
Customer: No.
JA: Which lights are colored and/or blinking on your router?
Customer: steady blue.
JA: Anything else you want the Network Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: i don’t think so. I’ve already done the usual things to restart and nothing’s worked.

If you're having trouble connecting your Smart TV/streaming device to the internet, here are some possibilities and steps to follow:

1) I know it sounds quite simple here, but I recommend this as a first step always. Have you tried unplugging it here for 10 minutes or so? Unplugging the TV for 10-15 minutes can initiate a 'power cycle' which can often fix these type of issues with a TV. Be sure to press & hold the power button on the TV itself (not the remote) for 10 full seconds while the set is unplugged, then release the power button.
2) If this doesn't work, power the TV off and unplug the WIFI router for 3 minutes, then plug it back in for 3 minutes and turn the TV back on to try again.

3. You will need to go into the TV's network settings and reconnect the TV to your Home WIFI network using the home WIFI network password. Make sure you enter the correct upper and lower case letters here, along with the correct symbols if there are any.
4) Try updating the firmware of the Smart TV or streaming device.

5) Try a 'Factory Reset' on your TV to start from scratch, then try reconnecting

It’s not the TV that’s the problem, it’s the Amazon Firestick.

I really just want to resolve the issue with the firestick and I’ve already paid £5 for a support service.

I understand what you're saying, can you still try these steps for the Firestick though? The instructions would be the same.
