For cameras with a Reset button:

  1. Locate the RESET button on the camera.
  2. Use a pointed object (like a ballpoint pen) to press and hold the RESET button for 2-3 seconds.
  3. After two to three seconds, release the RESET button.

Hope the suggestion provided is helpful. Please reply if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

Insert the memory card into the camera, remove the lens cap, and turn the camera on. Select Firmware version in the Set up menu and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the firmware update. Once the update is complete, turn the camera off and remove the memory card.

It is a Nikon w300 no len’s cap, when trying to update it comes up with update error
Customer: replied 19 days ago.

Download Software From the Nikon Download Center

The same goes for downloading camera firmware. Go to the Nikon Download Center. Next, choose the category that the gear you want to update falls under, like a DSLR or lens. In some cases, you'll then choose a sub-category

Customer: replied 19 days ago.
We have done that
