What is the treatment for Dermatitis Herpetiforms cassed by Celiac disease

Fortunately, the treatment for Dermatitis Herpetiformis is an excellent and nearly always works. It is a drug called Dapsone. This is in the group of drugs called sulfones. Your physician should order a Glucose 6 Phophate level before beginning you on this drug. If you do not have enough of this enzyme you might develop a severe hemolytic anemia which means your red cells break. I would also strongly urge you to go on a gluten free diet. This in itself will substantially improve your skin and gut. Finally, there is a topical drug called Aczone which is a toical version of Dapsone. YOu can apply this to areas of the rash.
