Customer Question

I have severe psoriasis and have tried all topicals, light treatment. The plaques have changed recently getting really itchy, I never get remission and even sunlight isnt really helping and I'm really worried about taking methotrexate as I have a 4 year old, I'm 46. is there anything else I can do? Thanks.

This is Dr. David

I am sorry you have severe psoriasis.

systemic treatment with methotrexate may be the right next step for you.

there are other systemic treatments for psoriasis such as Humira (adalimumab) or Remicade (infiximab), or Enbrel (etanercept) but these tend to be more expensive and difficult to get in the UK

let me know if you have other questions.
