I have a rough skin spot the size of my small fingernail on my forehead...sore to touch....abates with moisturizer but doesn't go away......GP burnt one off before but left white mark when healed.....any other way of treating

You've been left with a patch of vitiligo--loss of pigmentation of the skin

For now you can try over the counter 1% hydrocortisone cream twice a day for two weeks

But if that doesn't resolve this you'll need prescription tacrolimus cream from the dermatologist
