No red bumps or excessive sweating. I don't wax I take 2.5 m of Lissinipril for raised bloodpressure and also inhalers for asthma. I have had this condition sporadically for two years and also have had shingles mildly

Thanks for all these additional information.

I understand your concern.

Well as you describe, possible causes may include Eczema.

Now I would recommend some self-care measures like
Take a cool water bath with Potassium permanganate(an oxidizing agent ).
The concentration of KMnO4 solution sitz bath is usually 1:10000
(i.e. one teaspoon of the solution is diluted with water to 2 Liters).

And afterward, apply OTC 1% hydrocortisone cream mixed with bacitracin ointment twice a day.

Clean the area with DIAL soap and use OTC Abzorb powder afterward.
And keep the area dry and clean.
Wear loose-fitting cotton clothes to prevent friction.
Take OTC Motrin and Claritin for few days.

If your symptoms will persist then see a dermatologist for further evaluation and management.
