Customer Question

Hi I have a small reddish lump on my leg. It has been there for at least 18 months. It is painless and has not grown any bigger in that time period. Could this be skin cancer? I attach a picture

I can only go by your photo, of course

But that looks like a totally benign keratosis--smooth, one color with well defined edges

Add to that the fact that it hasn't changed in 18 months and I conclude it isn't any kind of skin cancer like a melanoma, or a basal or squamous cell carcinoma

But, again, since I can only go by the photo I have to suggest you have your doctor look at it
