Customer Question

Hi, I am having a problem with a flaky and itchy scalp. I've tried dandruff shampoo from various companies, kids shampoo that is perfume free but it never makes a difference. Any ideas what I could do please?
JA: When did the itchiness first appear? Have you used any medication for this?
Customer: Years ago I'm afraid, typical man! I haven't used any medication no
JA: Got it. Have you seen a dermatologist about the itchiness?
Customer: No i haven't
JA: Thank you so much for your time. Finally, is there anything else in your medical history you think the Dermatologist should know?
Customer: I am allergic to some things but I avoid those so I don't think so no

Hi there,
I am an experienced Medical Specialist.
I am here to address your concerns and provide great service.

You likely have severe scalp eczema.

Are you able to post a pic?

Since you tried over the counter medications without result, you will need prescription topical medications.

Potent topical steroid like Clobetasol foam or solution can be tried twice daily for 10-14 days to treat the condition.

Here are a few pictures, I think the prescription makes sense at this stage.
